Cialis - Advert Wins Top Place In TV Audience Memories

Eli Lilly who produce the erectile dysfunction medication Cialis will be patting themselves on the back after research released by the Nielsen Company shows that one advertisement to promote it was the "most recalled" prescription medication advertisements in America.

Fariba Zamaniyan speaking on behalf of Nielsen explained that Cialis manufacturers have become extremely good at delivering very memorable advertisements which stick in the minds of the television audience.

Unlike the United Kingdom, in America it is not against the law to advertise prescription medications and pharmaceutical companies therefore spend millions of dollars promoting them on television.

The advertisement which featured a couple being interrupted during an intimate moment when their daughter unexpectedly pays them a surprise visit was recalled by television viewers at a rate of 55% more than the average prescription medication advertisement played in 2008.

Cialis which is the second most popular erectile dysfunction medication in the world after Viagra is fighting hard to get a larger overall market share of the highly lucrative impotence drug market.

Recently launched another version of Cialis called 'Cialis Daily' which allows men to pop a pill every morning so that they retain good erectile function throughout the whole day rather than having to take medication just before they want to have sex.

In fact Eli Lilly's other advertisement for Cialis also scored well with the TV audience coming in at fourth place for audience recall.

This advertisement shows a couple sitting on an elevated platform by the beach looking at the sunset. Another one of Eli Lilly's advertisements for an antidepressant medication called Cymbalta came in at second place showing that the company has little to complain about when dealing with their advertising agency.

Unlike Viagra, which became famous because it was the first erectile dysfunction drug to be produced, Cialis has had to battle for every single percentile point of market share and part of its success has been down to the fact that it is effective for a longer time period than its rivals Viagra and Levitra.
