The erectile dysfunction medication, Cialis, that is made by the drug company Eli Lilly is to be used in groundbreaking research to help men who suffer from an enlarged prostrate.

An enlarged prostrate can be extremely painful and can affect urination in men as well as being a symptom of cancer of the prostrate. The study is to be conducted at the University of Colorado based in Denver and is in the process of getting volunteers who have been having problems with urination because of enlarged prostrates. It is estimated that around 90% of all males will at some point in their life suffer from benign prostatic hyperplasia, and while it doesn't normally happen until after the age of 40 it continues to become more likely with age and almost all males over the age of 70 have this problem.

The study will also be looking at whether by using Botox injections that are traditionally used on the face to correct wrinkles in people who want to look younger they will also be able to correct the unpleasant effects of an enlarged prostate. The volunteers for this new and exciting study must be at least 45 years old and have suffered from BPN.
