Viagra is under a strange threat of boycott on moral grounds from the chemists and druggists in Jharkhand, India
The Jharkhand Chemists and Druggist Association (JCDA) has asked the multinational drug manufacturer Pfizer, not to launch and sell Viagra in the state, as it fears that this 'tiny tablet' might cause many crimes pertaining to sex.
JCDA president Krishna Pradhan told that apart from moral problems, the erectile dysfunction drug if consumed unsolicited, can lead to many side effects.
He said that looking at already 'uncontrollable' younger generation, availability of Viagra in this state might cause more problems.
The main fear is that though Viagra is a prescription drug, people will demand to sell it over the counter.
