Viagra - Not For Sex Offenders

Indiana Health officials have confirmed that Viagra is not being misused under the Medicaid program

Viagra and other ED drugs were bought only to treat a serious lung disease called pulmonary hypertension.

The state's health program for low-income, disabled and elderly people is paid for jointly by states and the federal government.

Earlier, the commission on Medicaid Oversight asked for an update after 200 sex offenders and other high risk criminals were observed using Viagra through Medicaid insurance in the last five years.

In many states Viagra has been taken out of the Medicaid health program and in many others, officials are awaiting a final call.

In Indiana, the state does not pay for Viagra for Medicaid recipients unless people obtain prior approval from the state.
