No Female Viagra Yet
After the tremendous improvement in sexual dysfunction in men, it was no surprise that women were desperate for their own Viagra. A number of drug companies started pouring money into research to become the first in the market to make a women’s version of a Genuine Viagra which would assist women in attaining sexual arousal and/or orgasm on the market.
Female Orgasmic Function
The findings have not been encouraging so far. Nine years went by from the inception of Genuine Viagra and a few more drugs identical to Viagra have come onto the market for men, but women are still waiting anxiously for their version of Viagra. The good news is that there is plenty of research going on all around the world regarding female sexuality and arousal. However, all is not rosy.
The female arousal and orgasmic function is much more complex than in men. According to recent research, woman’s sexual dysfunction is not merely dependent on physical factors like hormone levels, blood flow and proper stimulation. A woman’s satisfaction is also influenced by factors such as stress, energy levels, mood, religion, preconceptions of sex, and even her genetic makeup.
Clinical Trials
Few clinical trials for a female Viagra have come up with results that can be termed encouraging. For example, enhancing the testosterone levels by small amounts with the assistance of pill, (a mixture of estrogen and testosterone), give rise to enhanced blood supply and can play a prominent role in engorging the area and decreasing dryness. This treatment is showing promise but has not been tested yet. Many women define sexual dysfunction in their life as a lack of desire, which can happen for many reasons aside from physical ones. It is easier to treat physical issues such as high blood pressure, depression, autoimmune disorders, and thyroid levels rather than personal issues.
Orgasm
Women differ in whether they required one orgasm, multiple orgasms, or even any orgasm to consider sex fulfilling with their partner. Interestingly, each woman feels orgasms differently. Because of this, women have described their orgasm from feeling a tingle, to terming it a mind blowing experience. There are a few who believe that there is no control over body when in the state of orgasm.
In addition, there have been controversies over clitoris vs. G-spot vs. vaginal orgasms. There are women who are willing to take any route for her physical dysfunction but until she is able to work out the emotional and mental aspects of overcoming this problem no pill can give relief. There are tons of gels, creams and herbal remedies available that claim to enhance desire and sexual satisfaction among women but they are not authentic.
